Among the host of cars on display at the recent 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show were some that could land on Indian shores as well, perhaps in 2013 itself. The names may seem familiar. The 2014 Mitsubishi Outlander sports a completely fresh look, is lighter by about 90kg, and has a reworked 2.4-litre petrol engine. The last bit is precisely where the problem lies. What Mitsubishi really needs to work on is bringing a diesel Outlander to revive the SUV's sales in the country.

The much-anticipated Chevrolet Spark EV has finally been unveiled in the US at a sticker price of $25,000 (Rs 13.5 lakh). The Spark looks like the Chevy Beat in global markets though the India-centric version may resemble the Spark small car sold in our country.

The Spark EV is claimed to go from 0-100kmph in less than eight seconds and reach 80-percent battery charge in just 20 minutes.

The new Porsche Cayman sports coupe is lighter, lower, more agile and packs in more firepower. It will be available in two versions - Cayman and Cayman S - when it hits showrooms in Spring 2013.
