Add a Safe Mode option to the Boot menu in Windows XP:-
Follow these steps to add a Safe Mode option to the Boot menu.
When you're experiencing a problem with Windows XP, you may need to boot the system into Safe Mode more than once. However, doing so can be a tiresome process. When the Boot menu appears, youmust press [F8], and then you must select Safe Mode from yet another menu.
Wouldn't it be nice if Safe Mode were available from the Boot menu? In fact, it's relatively easy to add a Safe Mode option to the Boot menu.
Here's how.
1. Press [Windows][Break] to open the System Properties dialog box.
2. On the Advanced tab, click the Settings button in the Startup And Recovery section.
3. In the System Startup section, click the Edit button.
4. When the Boot.ini file opens in Notepad, locate the line that ends with the /fastdetect switch.
5. Highlight and copy that line and paste it in the line below.
6. Change the section on the line that reads WINDOWS="Mcft Windows XP Professional" to WINDOWS="Safe Mode."
7. Add the following to the end of the line:
/safeboot:minimal /sos /bootlog

4>>Refresh the Taskbar without restarting: If you in some way change the taskbar, either in Regedit or elsewhere, you can refresh the task bar without restarting. Hold down Ctrl Alt Del, and double click on Explorer. Say Yes to close Explorer, but no to closing Windows. This will refresh the Taskbar and system tray.
5>> Faster Start-Menu Acces s: Go to the Start menu and select Run. Now type Regedit and hit Enter. The Registry Editor will appear on the screen. Now, open the folder HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop. You should see a MenuShowDelay value. If you don't then do the following: right click on a blank space in the right pane and select New\String. Change the name in the new value to MenuShowDelay. Now that we have the MenuShowDelay value, double click on it and enter 0 in the value data field. This sets the start menu delay to 0 milliseconds.
6>>Restart only Window s: When restartingyour PC, hold down Shift to only restart Windows rather than the whole system which will only take a fraction of the time.
7>>Defragment Often: defragment your drive, data is physically arranged on the drive so that applications will load faster.
8>> Wallpapers : They slow your whole system down, so if you're willing to compromise, have a basic plain one instead!
9>>Fonts : When Windows starts, it loads every single font in the Fonts folder. Therefore, the more fonts you have, the slower the booting process. To get rid of unwanted fonts, simply go to the Fonts folder under c:\windows and remove whatever you don't want. Fonts that have a red letter 'A' as their icon are system fonts, so don't delete them.
10>> Quick CD Eject : Instead of pushing the button on your drive, right-click your CD drive letter in My Computer and click on Eject. This will also remove any icons that have become associated with the CD drive.

You can make your search more efficient bylearning some search basics !
Try these tips :
1 . Use Of '+' sign :
This ensures that the results returned to you will definatly consist of the word following the '+' sign. For Eg :
Search: reviews of +iPhone and iPod
This will show results containing the word reviews or iPod but the results will definatly consist of iPhone !
2 . Use Of '-' sign :
Using '-' sign before any word will ensure that the particular word will not be included in the results !
3 . Use Of '~' sign :
Using '~' before any word will return the results also containing the synonyms of theword !
4 . Search a particular site :
To search a particular website you can use the following syntax in the google search :
Search: site: abc
5 . Define a word :
To get the definition of a word just use :
Search: define:abc
For Eg : Search: define:Computer
This will return you results which define 'Computer'.
6 . Find Pages similar to a page :
To find a page similar i.e. consisting of same type of content, use the following syntax :
Search: related:
7 . Search for exact phrase :
To search a set of words exactly together i.e.
For Eg :
Search: "contact us"
This will return the results containing both contact and us together !
8 . Using the wild card '*' :
The * sign can be used in places where the whole word is not known.
For Eg:
Search: friend*
This will return the results containing friend , friends , friendship.
9 . Using the '?' sign :
This is used when the full spelling of the word is not known.
For Eg:
Search: fri??d
This will result that in the results in which any alphabet can take the place of '?' sign.
10 . Use of boolean operators :
The boolean operators like AND,OR,NOT can be used in search box to connect the words!
The search engine understands them as what they mean but the must be in capital letters !
For Eg:
Search: swim OR float
This will return the results containing either swim or float !

SPEED UP UR RAM
Clean Ur RAM may recognize that ur system gets slower and slower when playing and working a lot with ur pc. That's cause ur RAM is full of remaining progress pieces u do not need any more.
So create a new text file on ur desktop and call it .. uhm.. "RAMcleaner" or
great work
something...
Type
FreeMem=Space(64000000)in this file and save it as RAMcleaner.vbs [ You may choose the "All Files" option when u save it ]
Run the file and ur RAM may be cleaned :>Ofcourse u can edit the code in the file for a greater "cleaning-progress".
FreeMem=Space(1280000000)
just try it out.. it worked for me
