Lenovo unveils global wireless roaming service 'Lenovo Connect'
Barcelona, Feb.22 (ANI): Chinese multinational computer technology company Lenovo Group Ltd has unveiled a global wireless service for its mobile devices to cut roaming costs for its users at the ongoing Mobile World Congress(MWC) here.
The service, called 'Lenovo Connect', allows users to travel upto fifty countries and use their devices at local prices on mobile internet, without installing new SIM cards, Lenovo said in a statement.
The company said it could offer the service through its mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) activities, which currently has 11 million users globally, Reuters reported.
The wireless roaming service is expected to be available in China soon on its LeMeng X3 smartphone and MIIX 700 tablet. People using Lenovo's ThinkPad laptops can also avail the service during the first quarter in Europe, Middle-East and Africa.
Headquartered in Beijing, China, and North Carolina, United States, Lenovo designs, develops, manufactures and sells personal computers, tablet computers, smartphones, workstations, servers, electronic storage devices, IT management software and smart televisions.
In 2014, Lenovo was the world's largest personal computer vendor by unit sales. It markets the ThinkPad line of notebook computers and the ThinkCentre line of desktops. (ANI)
