LeEco's Le 1s, the new and powerful player in the Indian mobile market
New Delhi, Jan.28 (ANI): India has seen the launch of Lenovo K4 Note and LeEco (Formerly Letv)'s Superphone Le 1s at the beginning of 2016.
The flash sales of both smartphones will kick off coincidentally on the same day -2 February, on Flipkart and Amazon respectively. In the midst of the sales battles between the two brands, reliable sources said that severely affected by Le 1s, the presale registration of Lenovo K4 Note within the first five days for the upcoming flash sale has plummeted nearly 70%, compared with the last one on 20th January.
Lenovo claims to have sold more than 60,000 units of K4 Note during its first flash sale on 20th January, the exact same day when Le 1s made its debut in India. K4 Note is exclusive to Amazon India with a price of Rs. 11,999. However, the strong contender Le 1s, released by the global technology giant LeEco just a week ago in India has already achieved 300,000 registration within 5 days after the launch, smashing the industry record. The number is said to be dramatically increasing day by day. However, Lenovo K4 Note has reportedly suffered a significant drop of almost 70% in registration for the upcoming flash sale on 2 February.
Le 1s, hailed as "flagship killer" in China, is priced at Rs.10, 999 and exclusive to Flipkart India. The device is powered by the 2.2GHz Helio X10 Turbo octa-core processor and sports all metal unibody and the world's first mirror-surfaced fingerprint scanner. It is also equipped with fast charging technology which boasts 3.5-hour talk time with only 5-minute charge time. And a customer who buys with an Axix Bank card, the customer can even get a 10% cash back, which means the price would be Rs. 9,899.1
On the other hand, , K4 Note, carrying octa-core Mediatek MT6753 chipset, owns 16GB storage and is expandable via microSD, which is overshadowed by Le 1s that is offering a much larger storage of 32GB. Both phones are backed by 3GB RAM and provide a 13-megapixel rear camera and 5MP for the front. Regarding the connectivity port, K4 Note uses a micro USB port, while Le 1s is armed with a reversible Type-C USB connector which has become the current standard for smartphones. Le 1s is empowered by the Android v5 (Lollipop) with eUI (Eco User Interface) operating system, which is the world's leading and innovative OS developed by the company.
Both smartphones come with a 5.5-inch HD display and support 4G LTE and dual SIM. However, Le 1s is 1.6mm thinner than K4 Note, and it stands out with an appealing and high-end gold color, in comparison with the unattractive black model of Lenovo K4 Note. Considering the specs, design and pricing, Le 1s apparently holds the whip hand in contrast to K4 Note. In addition, LeEco is said to open 555 service centers across India and provide 24*7 multiple languages services to customers, offering 1 year manufacturer warranty for the phone and 6-month warranty for accessories in the box, which should be very impressive for the Indian users.
Lenovo K4 Note was well received in India, however with the advent of Le 1s which many believe is a groundbreaker and serious competitor to many mobile brands, the Indian smartphone landscape should be changing very soon. Registration for the sale of Le 1s is already available. (ANI)
