Now, Whatsapp will allow Android users to make 'app-to-app' voice calls
Washington, April 1 (ANI): A major update introduced by Whatsapp will now allow android users to make voice calls on the application.
The feature, which had been teased for months, was introduced to select users earlier when the last update was rolled out a few weeks ago. However, it can now be availed by all, reported The Verge.
The latest version of Whatsapp offers a cleaner layout with three tabs for Calls, Chats, and Contacts. Users have to just click the Calls tab and select a contact to chart talking.
However, users must note that the feature will only allow them to make app-to-app voice calls, unlike previous version of Whatsapp where users could call contacts simply by switching to their smartphone's regular mobile services.
The update is available on Google Play Store and Whatsapp's own site.
The feature is expected to be rolled out to iOS users in a couple of weeks. (ANI)
