Heels make calf muscles shorter and tighter. The calf muscle adapts to the angle in which our feet are held. The more you wear heels, the more your calf muscle will become muscled and tight. When wearing stilettos, your posture is not only trained but moreover your legs look like as if they were trained!

To keep balance on high heels, you slightly have to lean forward. As a result, we fortify the pelvic floor muscles as well as the abdominal muscles. Growing older or giving birth can weaken these muscles. This may lead to bladder problems. By wearing high heels, you train these muscles and they remain in shape longer.

But high heels not only seem to tighten your body and muscles, they can also improve your sex-life. Italian investigators concluded this by means of measuring the electric activity in the pelvic floor muscles of women when holding their ankles in different angles. The results showed that these muscles are more relaxed when women wear high heels. Moreover the amount of contractions and its intensity increase when making love. Tip: also wear your high heels  when having sex: you feel slimmer, more woman and therefore sexier.

Men seem to be visual adjusted when they meet women. Long legs occur on the fourth place in the top ten of favourite physical female features (after an athletic body, sensual lips and a full bosom).  Long legs stand for fertility. In their teens, when girls become fertile, their legs are longer in proportion to the rest of their body. Around their 20’s, when the body growth stops , their legs seem about 10% shorter than in their teens. Long legs of adult women indirectly refer to that youthful fertility. Hoby Brennan, an advisor concerning purchasing and shopping behavior, declares that choosing footwear is a very personal issue. “Shoes attract your attention because they have a certain X-factor.  Therefore these shoes will give some information about your personality and individuality”, according to Brennan.

8. SEEING A PAIR OF DESIRABLE SHOES IS COMPARABLE TO 5 MINUTES OF PRACTICING SPORTS. GREAT, ISN’T IT?

According to a British survey the heartbeat of a woman who is wearing a pair of desirable shoes rises to 120 (doesn’t our heartbeat rise as well when seeing our beloved?). The heightened heartbeat appears to be healthy and is comparable to the heartbeat after five minutes of practicing sports.
