Samsung Mobiles emerges as most trusted brand in India
Korean smartphone maker Samsung Mobiles has emerged as India’s most trusted brand followed by Sony and LG, according to ‘The Brand Trust Report 2016’. ranking second and LG third in both All-India and North India ranking.
Maruti Suzuki has plunged as North India’s fourth ‘Most Trusted brand’ and Dell secures fifth position followed by Nokia, Bajaj, Puma, Tata.
This report, which is an assessment of the confidence held in brands, was released by N Chandramouli, CEO, TRA . At the launch of the report, the sixth in its series Chandramouli said, “Delhi-based brands have not performed well this year in the North zone. Delhi is the fundamental market socket so we give too much prominence to Delhi based brands. Brands like Bikaji, Chokhi Dhani, Maxima, Jindal Steel and Bikano have materialized as the losers.”
The Brand Trust’ report is a result of research conducted in 61 cities of the country. The North zone cities include Delhi, Chandigarh, Lucknow, Jaipur and Indore. “We generally follow randomization methodology to plump our audience. The principle of averaging is done. The socio-economic class is the focal for us and the research is conducted in the month of October, November and December”, Chandramouli explained.
“Brands exist to meet the prerequisites, yearnings, prospects and vulnerabilities that exist in the world, the fulfillment of which results in human gratification. Brands are precious to the world and custodians”, he added.
This year Iphone brands and personal technology brands are out of the ranking. Other authoritative brands that have found an esteemed position in the listing include SpiceJet, ICICI Bank, Hyundai, HDFC bank beating SBI, BMW, Airtel, Bajaj, HP, Micromax and so on.
