Great Khali Gets Severely Injured In An Exhibition Wrestling Match. No, It Was Not Staged!

India's former WWE superstar - Dalip Singh Rana, popularly known as the Great Khali, has been badly injured during an exhibition wrestling match played in Haldwani in Uttarakhand on Wednesday. In the series of matches that was reportedly titled 'The Great Khali Returns Series', Khali was seen being allegedly attacked by a few foreign wrestlers. Images showed Khali being wounded on the head and taken on a stretcher after being injured.
Shockingly, during the the series launch event two days ago when the organisers named the participants and the announcing individuals earlier this week, the 43-year-old Khali lost his cool and apparently 'signed a death warrant' in public after tempers flared.
"People keep making these empty threats and useless statements everyday. If they have the guts they should stop talking and come and meet me in the ring and then we will see who is who. Just because we are Indians they think they are superior and can say and do whatever they want. They have not only challenged me but also the spirit of India and I am not going to let them win," an emotionally disturbed Khali is quoted as saying by a sports website.
"I The Great Khali today promise all of you’ll that I will kick each one of their asses and not rest in peace till I do so. I today sign my own death warrant as a mark of this resolve. This to me now is far bigger than my own personal ego and is a matter of national pride," he added.
It now seems that this might have irked his challengers and the fight went way worse than the staged moves of WWE and he is now is bearing the brunt of it. Khali's bout was the main attraction of the two-day event and the extent of his injury is not fully known.
